Which wheel should you buy for Christmas 2023?

As the year draws to a close, it’s time to look both to the past and the year 2023, and to the future and the year 2024! Spring will arrive one day, maybe, within the next 5 months, we’re keeping our fingers crossed. And with spring comes new arrivals so we’re settling down and taking stock.

First of all, honour to the old-timers with, according to some, the best urban wheel ever: the Inmotion V11 wheel. The first wheel with suspension from the Inmotion brand, this beautiful beast weighs in at around 27 kilos and will carry you for up to 120 kilometres, at a maximum speed of 50 kilometres per hour. This performance is made possible by its 1500W battery in 84 flights equipped with LG cells, coupled with its 2200W motor. It is available on our site, pending a possible Y version in 2024?

Then its Kingsong counterpart was the KS-S18 wheel, available in black or white. Depending on your budget, you’ll have the choice between these 2 models or an evolution, the 2023 version: the Kingsong KS-S19 euc. Of course, the 2023 version is more powerful in terms of performance, and we’ve had some excellent feedback on it. The maximum speed on private land in France is slightly faster (60 km/h vs. 50 km/h), and the range is greater (150 kms vs. 100 kms). This is due to the larger battery (a powerful 1776 Wh secured by a new BMS, compared with the 1110Wh of its little sister) and, of course, a more powerful engine. Indeed, the Kingsong KS S19 is equipped with a 3500 watt brushless motor, while the Kingsong KS S18 packs a 2200 w hollow motor.

Finally, then, back to next year’s new models, announced for spring 2024 in France. We’re talking, of course, about the two 16-inch wheel models from the 2 market-leading brands. On the one hand, the Inmotion V14 Adventure wheel, offering a maximum speed of 70km/h on private terrain and a range of up to 120 kilometres on a full charge. Equipped with a Samsung 2400 Wh battery with 50S cells, and a 4000W motor, it competes head-on with the Kingsong KS S16 Alcidae wheel. The latter packs a 1480 Wh battery for a 3000W motor, giving the wheel a range of up to 120 kilometres for a top speed of up to 60 km/h

And have you already decided which is your favourite model? Is it your wheel or your future wheel?
